unfamiliar sunshine
catches damp leaves unaware
comes with a very fresh blue
cobwebs blow in the breeze now because
it crosses the valley to catch
can take your socks off just like that
turn dance into a swim
doors, windows, throw open to let
it spins the ceiling fan again
shines on the skin if you will
birds ring with the joy of it
could be the first day ever
blinds you if you look
on spree, out for fling
here’s little cloud, so innocent now
just born and not for long
but purposes of illustration
we’ll forget that trouble
did I mention the green of the trees?
and see into the tops!
look up and look again
each insect now might glittering
such light as lightens hearts
have you seen the shine?
it’s everywhere out there
one day and soon will drive my car
oh brightly brightly, so my shadow’s
cast
it’s all as if to a wedding
and turn your back
rotate, revolve
welcome warmth of a nearest star
