ye know not the hour
or
ways of looking at a clock
for time pieces /
clock series
a petal strew
superstition
telling when where
an ache lies in the
body thereof
as faceless
for a spin
hair’s breadth
like a stop at the
top
one sees the mouse
the blind run up
wink of the knowing
an insect tells its
wings
is there enough
blood in?
a bird sway limb
this breeze and then
becalmed
at certain hours
it sours the clock
last moments choked
down
and where in the day
am I?
it’s pointing every
way in turn
so moons and planets
go
see only minutes
here
the epoch herd
flip digital
come kookaburra
laughter
and at the umpteenth
round
here a clock throws
questions
a clock of clouds to
stare
and a clock looks
back
pours smoke forth
you might see just
your time reflect
so we are observed
