ultimate bully

one man’s battle with the truth became ours

thing of darkness I acknowledge mine

               – Prospero

is this what we are?

we have exported this

to the undeserving

gift of our civilization

how he can do no wrong

he is like the flag

spread out across territory

over the pagan wastes

he’s to make safe

where he can do no wrong

a woman couldn’t do this

you wouldn’t send a boy

not a thinker

a bully’s bully

with all the best bully gear

by virtue of bigger

more fist, more fight

top of the bully class

let’s cringe for him

it feeds them

this one can do no wrong

he is our hero, was

just as of back in the day

when heroes were a thing

bigger and bigger he blew

the bubble reputation

he is like a song we sing

and make ourselves bigger so

guess what he ordered

guess whom he killed?

names we’ll maybe never know

that confident stride

all step aside

he is a very Samson

to bring the pillars down

but sometimes the family

of the deceased, you know

there are witnesses remember

and all these many things he did

you could write a book

we have decorated him for it

adventures! boys own

did his best

and do no wrong

oh, brave

he was our best!

he’s something on a wedding cake

a Christmas tree

stands so much taller than the bride

who tumbles down the stairs at tap

he never knew his strength

he’s the us the heathen remember

makes up all our rules

just as he goes

and we’ll settle up later

boys, you know, will be boys

what souvenirs!

a mind prosthetic

heart for maybe later

cannot afford that nonsense here

he’s ours

and for him, shed a tear

what exploits!  tales to fit a fire

and all for us!

that we’d be free!

we sing him to Valhalla

how with one blow of his mighty…

and so on, just so you know

that’s what a bully does

that’s how a bully is

he might go into politics

and who will notice there?

as for those to whom he did the damage

they won’t bother us again

those gone and whom we never knew

well, they must be the price of him

the taxpayer has paid

and we’ll go on like this

it’s one thing on a screen and far

you wouldn’t want to share a cell

ourselves I think we have to blame

after all that has transpired

now he’ll be much much harder

much harder to defame
