seal turns
in so small a sea
zoo series
we painted it blue and a little sky
I can see my shoes
on every turn, fresh capture
it’s me who will look up, away
there is the feeling of constant surveillance
something you can’t quantify
this one – convicted of glide
a certain slipperiness, you see
we spend so much on gaols
cast shadows, delve reflections
I don’t know their other system
but I time the turns to a count of ten
that’s how big this world
