#1005 - walking home with a half moon

walking home with a half moon

shadows of Tisza Lajos Utca, Szeged

for Fenyvesi Anna

the street is longer coming back

balmy October early yet

they say Jupiter is closer now

all day’s hammering now ceased

the bark occasional and trudge

I’m walking off the catfish soup

it’s all the foliage casting

makes intricate of light

reminds us of much to mourn

somewhere a rooftile falls

cats scatter

who will live such shadows?

we are with the gone again

home and far

nobody ever flew on a broom

but there were some who burned here

it feels like the past yet with us

an incandescence over all

the stillness of paint

the memory of wires connecting

someone climbs their stairs inside

we won’t hear so far

there’s so much complicated love to this

and then, well, here we are
