glitter winged, metal

the energy of stillness

a dragonfly decides

 

 

 

frogs are

 

practicing green again

vinyl velour

pond deep

leaf high

 

some glow

gold to show

 

frogs shine

with the rain

now shone

 

like the yellow spotted bell

 

 

 

tiger

 

toss of the tail for flies

pugs up

yawn tongue and teeth

my camouflage is thought

stripes of a siesta

 

 

 

Bellinger River turtle

 

stuck in Covid City

drunk on this little river bit

flailing up to the glass

 

 

 

the rhinoceros iguana

 

is its own pyjama

 

 

 

nibble and lick

a huddle of lemur

 

in branches high up

self other draped

like rope grooming

 

tug in a knot

no one gets through such fur

(stole of another age)

 

one always thinks of their gymnastics

but mainly they surf as one couch

 

 

 

most animals are a bird
