it’s like at school

and we were the dumb ones

had to do it again

but it’s not so bad

we’re the tough nuts

look in the drafts box

see all the years skipped before

and comfort in

it’s not the same twice

no matter how hard you try

there have been plenty already

without the internet

the Black Death

must have been really bad

(not enough jam tins or string)

soon the hour earlier

but I hang up my clock
