the bounce of
the clouds
possible addition to a field guide to Australian clouds
the bounce of the clouds when we’re up
face reflected
having risen
in all the languages of sky
only ever half observed
clouds feed on the kingdom come
it’s everywhere they sail
and careless to a whim, high seas
here’s a shine to the bone - projection
a disorder thereof
clouds being like a question
where are they from? none know
of what? no anger but the dark
without them, what’s a sky to give?
are brief, there is no time in them
they are multitudes
and trip the stars, re-start
ours too
they are a vanish
weigh a ton but never fall
unless, and tell me tears
your guess
a cloud is always halfway there
they’re tortoise and the hare, we are
early in life
seen, seldom heard
sudden with us they all are
look up to know them
sometimes snow
the coal like dark of distance in them
lower than other heavens
we are all composed of some sky
