they emerge
in a silence
spoken of the image
place never as was
seen so gone
then our own day echoes
imagine a voice
dry grass to fire
a face is a place
is time told
there is always a tree
each is a sign
of self
and all
we to witness
what’s to come
and from what mist of now
future already
have they
from just the truth of time
we don’t know
who we are
to be
we were never here before
we all will soon be gone
