great draughts

 

old empires, new efforts

black sails, white

cargo leant into fog

or the night

 

now shines with last of summer

a steady snail’s way underwisp

pinking at the last

 

funnel for instance

complex up for the blue

 

iced once for an army to chase over

here someone first thought of a flag

 

rain traces the glass with the windshift

faster than this sea
