said Hanrahan
I love it when others imagine bad luck for me …
plague of mice sweeping in from over the mountains
here comes the weather to wash me away
or earthquake, tsunami, drowning at sea
and the fires, of course they come with drought
explosive revelations!
you only have to turn on the news
evil fucks always seem to win…
I recite all the happiness stats
no one seems to hear
I am told that these ages are dark
evil all sorts will befall
then there are DIY nightmares –
attack of our very own terrors
the plague of time as we live it now
no jab in time
or mask that one could hide behind
then there’s my own inadequacy
a mere thing, the running out of puff
mountain so high it’s bound to fall over
garden overwhelmed with its weeds
we all get what’s coming
have to admire death’s democracy
obscurity does in fact have an end
and that’s your free will done
I love it when friends feel the need to share
it tells me so much about them
