there are currently no black dwarves in the universe

how can we make this right?

 

one might say

‘just wait a while’

or prefer the more pro-active approach

 

slip through a crack, lift leg on those pillars

fly home with a cudgel and where have you been?

 

stars one by one out

but not to earth

still waiting…

 

a ponder for such funerals

always one somewhere

 

spectacle on a speck we are …

a mere fifteen billion years in

would like to think someone’s watching

though this is vanishingly unlikely

that would be what it’s for

 

consider whistle and gone

bones of the hundred billion so far

(the us I mean and bugger the others)

 

consider the sources

universe as washing machine

tail in the mouth

something theory dragged in

 

eventually it will be the black hole era

there’ll be proton collapse for one and all

this is in ten million trillion trillion …

and quite a few more zeroes yet

 

I’d like you to consider a dense sphere of electron degenerate matter

why not?

I’m looking for yellowshift, event approaching

serious business

 

black dwarves are gravity and not much else

they come after all the colours

and are particular hard to detect

as of and because of now there aren’t any

a solid hunch however

(if only religion would frame up like that)

 

we’re guessing here but

the broken arrows point every way

and in the mirror too …

but this was a zombie, as it turned out
