#372 - home

home

draft artefact

I love the smell of it

the life in jars

and leaf tea

garden grow-eth over

everyone’s biblical

gnash dragons

then a little lie down

lovely views from the cave

some more recent works as well

brisk in all the tricks

which flower now

worlds opening?

come!

(that was a sight rhyme)

routinely and told elsewhere

on the other side of the news

(not a whisper of what you’d call prayer)

home

after the city dizzies

sink symmetries here

in the everywhere wonders

I love a lopside skewiff

and kilter off

books chatting on the dusty shelf

who’s that vanish with the longest tail

a settle down and breeze it

and the weather too gone under

home

a drip so bucket under

a leaking chimney too

garden’s coming in

and bush over the garden

darken the edges at

it is the cure

and all entitled

here thud above

and guess again

come to cupboard

sate

could call this the accumulation

(before the flood and fire)

the palace of excess

steps therefrom

an each day

cut along the dotted line

home entertainment

invite creatures in

so sorry can’t help it

radio crackles

and then in the procession of seasons

each his her funny hat

too many places to be just at

we’re yet to learn the proper names

implements for everything

water on tap too

smug saws

but just as many questions

plenty

thick of it

who can keep up?

catch your breath here

have all our own skies

it’s a map of the splash

scrape your shoes

when you come in this page

we’re here for the long rhyme

and some slow bug

walks in with us

to be out of the rain
