#346 - lost in the old alphabets

13.xii.20

346

lost in the old alphabets

no one will know what this poem’s about

a half ache – that’s the weather in

world closer in the rain

yet more

the alley range hedge-wise

make rooms of it to mansion

in the lyrical trip

love the beyond

of shape birds told

merrily merrily

take the stream

run the ring

call seasons

so the first word

we

was it

all the way home

?

hapless so

little seen

fetch of

I worship at the word to come

who will inhabit the fresh baked pages?

always stretch to tell the tale

have my Sunday so

can you see where

come for the vanish

?

o creature, guess

time and maybe

no one will know

I take the trail

days in the maze

sleepless

survive till something

live the old writing still

struggle forth

one character cursive

slant, feint rules

mind how you go but by book

ask, how have I fed the canon today?

(jungle at doorstep lapping)

point, which way?

come forever, be my guest

just where the arrow falls

now mist

I’m naked and worlding

ready or not

all bets off

and the future comes

a wingbeat

show me where

what does it mean if the gods are far?

I close my eyes to breathe

far in the drift as by now

call days to paint, how hung?

ticket and punt – the bond we do

a game and discover the rules
