#112 - to the naked eye

21.4.20
112
to the naked eye

are how many stars
with a world like ours?

tell me the lights of their tribe
and their city

though they won’t name things so
still they other end the scope

how far in time
can we see back
with the naked eye?

it must be a kind of rudeness
rough precision
thingy with it
whom you trust

so I see you
find a face

atom in molecule
on bug and bigger
all unseen

from an early age
I knew the pixels
made up everything

each child her own Democritus
and touch the rain to tongue

by gossamer, a wing

I love the worlds I cannot see
the weather in me as well

all of the everywhere in fact

and underscope, just by the way
here’s me looking up

how long does it last, the naked eye?

glass flows more slowly
darkly through
forests haunted
with unknown eyes

followed like a train of thought

ask your inner empiricist
how far to the naked eye (?)

go to it just for confirmation
what was believing again?

I saw luck when it left me
I saw the devil dance
asked an angel out

without any specs
all this mere scribble

diaphanous and all unveiling

are the colours called?
would we know them if?

I love the worlds I cannot know
and none of these my home
