every name is just
a guess
peripatetic
notes
Sea Acres,
Port Macquarie
on Biripai
Country
a
hic-et-nuncery
summer day middle skilter
clamber vine
afoot
in filtered bright
we’re remnant of
the
infallible place
of maiden’s
blush
and the
prickly fern
brush Cyprus,
stringybark, bangalow palm
now and then
there are such efforts
all out of
control
elkhorn
scrub, beefwood, sea whisper
reminding us
sun and shade
patterned in
a forest for
wordmaze
wapinbak,
flooded gum, bolwarra
the giant
water gum
shone through
sometimes just as you see
buttress bold
cabbage tree,
orange thorn
eyes fallen
up
days to
forget
we’re here
for
myrtle ebony
breeze and a
dangle down python too
the narrow
leaved palm lily
the three
leaved watervine
an edge of
lichen, remember
rose maple,
ribbon wood
all of us
together
more than the
tree
but the tree
is a world
it’s turning
too
the yellow
pear
the native
olive
how many names
have sunk to this soil?
even dark as
night does
some one will
be singing
it’s done
with everything evolved
here’s the
downhill part
then catch
your breath up
red ash and
the caper berry
who is it
dares land on my page
just where
these words fall?
who wouldn’t
wish for the sun just where
just now?
hear an ocean
by
deep in the
bones
where I’m off
for a wander
I’ve come to forget who I am
