Dio ekbrulis
por ĝeni dioj
estis kaŭzita de tiu frotado
la malbonaj vojoj de la mondo
estis sulfura afero
kun brulanta arbusto
estis Lia varmega spiro
malantaŭ via kolo
Dio estis fajro
Dio ekbrulis
kaj fajro estis Bona
iuj diris kandelon kaj iuj diris libro
estis brulego de steloj
ankoraŭ estas
nenio povas ekstingi Dion nun
neniu kuraĝas alproksimiĝi
God caught fire
for godsbother
it was all that rubbing up against
world’s wicked ways
it was a brimstone thing
with a burning bush
it was His hot breath
back of your neck
God was fire
God was on fire
and fire was Good
some said candle and some said book
there was a conflagration of stars
there still is
nothing can put God out now
nobody dares come near
