stolid reach
lumbering paw after
paw
a golem to holster
he is made a fist
must never smile
the children round
him first thing last
when home from work
to teach the truth
it’s all for them
they are nothing
we are iron
I cringe before
it’s what one does
now
man of stone
returns to stone
so the heart’s kept
pure
