#1333 - everything in a box of light

1333

26.viii.23

4.239

everything in a box of light

and how we’ll travel too

the answers and the questions

a map to show that we are

so many clocks

in one picture there will be another

a book in a sky in a frame

the football cards

great matches

towers and gardens and

I live by the glow of the box, don’t you?

desk and a comfortable chair

old splash and its ocean

the plot forgot

I bring my shovel and my paintbrush in

heads on pikes

the past, all cobwebs

bones of forgotten fish

the furthest worlds

where time began

and bright before

I keep the sun there too, in case

have we not called the seasons on?

have lives not wished away?

zoom, pan, hang by tiptoe

headspeak and heartshook

and some say this all just fell out once

I dreamt to keep it on a stick

all this in our power

where gravity would feed

someone wants a thousand dollars

I could sell my house, my car

a truth for certain matters

fleece soft to the touch

a bower bird fly by, low

all the named clouds I’d call

all of the symphonies

new moons nearly every day

pictures of my parents

their last wishes

so much life

so many lives lost there

we must build a tomb to the unknown light

often froth at what we find

some wave mad flags

everything is connected in there

clocks tell us out of time

and this is where you’ll find me

this is where we are
